30 June 2017 is the last day to make the most of your concessional and non-concessional contributions caps. If you turned 50 years of age between 1 July 2016 and 30 June 2017, your concessional cap is $35,000. If you were younger, your concessional cap is $30,000.
This financial year is the last year where the non-concessional cap is $180,000 pa or $540,000 if you trigger the 3 year bring forward provision.
In the 2018 financial year, the concessional cap becomes $25,000 for everyone and the non-concessional cap becomes $100,000 pa.
